Barry Passingham's Scooter Racing Photos 3

Taken in Jan 77 when we got together to do some off-road stuff. No beer was involved.
Author at the club hairpin, Cadwell Park.
1976. The author at Lydden, on the JJM Ducati 250. A lovely bike, for it’s class. Thunderous single cylinder, megaphone pipe, stopped well on a four-leading-shoe front drum brake, none of your woosey hydraulic discs. It would be a museum piece now, (me too).

"Chesson's Drift", Lydden. This hurt. A result of getting a false neutral approaching the bend, then finding a LOWER gear suddenly. Lack of concentration, I was doing well, and showing off to visiting friends a bit that day. I still think of it now, if ever I get a false neutral I always search carefully upwards for a gear, not down. And I don't show off on bikes. Unless there's someone watching.
