I would like this site to become the premier port of call
for anyone who wants to savour how Scooter Racing in the U.K. used to be in
it's early days. My specific scooter racing era is from '71 to '74,
having moved on to Motorcycle Sidecars, but I was interested in it and spectated
for a good few years before and after that.
Due to the limitations of my budget in those days, most of my photos are in
black and white. If anyone has some good action colour photos of Scooter Racers
of around that era, I would be pleased to display them within my site. Please submit them to me via the email link below, including some
info on the riders, circuits and year if possible.
Ron Moss It's great to see that RON MOSS, my old Racing pal from way back when has finally succumbed to peer pressure and had a web site built by his son to recognise the historic contribution Ron and Supertune made to Scooter Racing.
He was a Racer in every sense of the word, and his historic battles with Ray Kemp in the 200cc class kept us all enthralled at every meeting they parried together.
I tried to blag some info out of him for my own site but credit where credit is due, he's made an excellent job of it. Good job Ron, I wish you well in your new venture.
This page links off to stacks of early Scooter Racing photos
and articles of great interest to fans of those halcyon years in the late
60's and early 70's
